Submission Over Akiyama: Japanese MMA star Yoshihiro Akiyama’s UFC debut did not go as smoothly as expected after being upset by never say die American Chris Leben via 2nd round submission. The lightning quick Akiyama controlled the action early as the aggressor. Akiyama mauled Leben with some takedowns but Leben did manage to score some leg strikes. In the 2nd round all hell broke loose as the two middleweights stood toe-to-toe and hurled leather.
