Detroit Lions Offense vs. Minnesota Vikings Defense: Detroit’s #26 offense will have an uphill battle against Minnesota’s #17 defense. The Lions are led by rookie QB Matthew Stafford (1265 yds, 5-12 ratio, 55.9 passer rating) who is not 100% healthy with a balky knee. Minnesota’s defense that is excellent at creating turnovers should do some damage against the talented but gimpy rookie QB. The Lions have playmakers in WR Calvin Johnson (6’3” 240 4.40 40-speed) and RB Kevin Smith (6’1” 217 4.45) who could make some noise but Minnesota has the edge.
