Michigan 2010 College Football Predictions - 2011 BCS Odds: The storyline for the Michigan Wolverines this season is whether or not they can play well enough to save head coach Rich Rodriquez’s job. Michigan has not missed consecutive bowl games since the Big-10 started allowing teams to play in consecutive bowls and that streak is jeopardy after last year’s sad 5-7 season. Rodriguez has no excuse this year with a slew of his recruits tailor made for his system. Our college football picks staff is forecasting a return to a bowl game, albeit a small one.
 

College Football Predictions Offense: The offense has some solid pieces to work around with an above-average O-line and a playmaking QB tandem of Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson. Forcier runs the spread offense effectively and has an experienced group of wideouts to target. Robinson is a burner that can throw defenses on their heals with his ability to scramble. The running game also boasts a couple of decent ball carriers that can provide balance.

College Football Predictions Defense: How fast the Wolverines adjust to a new 3-3-5 defensive scheme will largely determine how far this team goes. The front seven is solid with some experienced guys that should improve on last season’s 91st ranking against the rush. The secondary has some holes and could get torched by the better passing teams.

Coaching/Special Teams: Rich Rodriguez is on the hot seat but he has proven that he can put winning teams on the field. Special teams are above-average with some speedy return and coverage units.
