Iowa 2010 College Football Predictions - 2011 BCS Odds: Expectations are high for the Iowa Hawkeyes heading into the 2010 season after an impressive 11-2 campaign last season that was punctuated by a dominating win over Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl. QB Ricky Stanzi is one of the better signal-callers in NCAA football but he is very streaky. Stanzi does have a good set of wideouts to damage with and has the arm to make big plays downfield. College Football Predictions Defense: Iowa has a ferocious D-line that hunts quarterbacks. The front four is led by future NFL 1st rounder DE Adrian Clayborn who recorded 11.5 sacks a year ago and plays like a man possessed .The linebacking corps has some upside but is inexperienced and could struggle. The secondary is a playmaking unit that will make life hell for passing teams with the aid of the pass-rushing beasts upfront.

Coaching/Special Teams: Head coach Kirk Ferentz is one of the best coaches in the game and he is surrounded by a pair of coordinators that have been with him from the beginning. Special teams are outstanding with the exception of a kicking game that is shaky.
