UCLA Bruins 2010 College Football Predictions - 2011 BCS Odds: In the wide open Pac-10 conference it is anybody’s race this year and that includes potential surprise team UCLA. After a disastrous first year as head coach, Rick Neuheisel pulled his troops together to post a 7-6 mark in 09’ to land in a minor bowl game. This is Neutheisel’s best team yet, especially on the offensive side of the ball. A tough schedule poses obstacles but with most of the their tough outings at home this team should be up to the challenge. Our College Football Picks staff is forecasting another 7-6 finish with a minor bowl berth.

The UCLA Bruins 2011 BCS Odds have them at +5000 on the NCAA Football Betting Moneyline at SPORTSBETTING.COM.

College Football Predictions Offense: The offense is speedy and should have good balance with a pair of hotshot RB recruits. The offense could take some time to gel as well-regarded coordinator Norm Chow installs a pistol offense that is geared towards maximizing the offenses speed. The transition to new offense will have the benefit of working behind a veteran O-line that returns four starters. The offense has impact players at all of the skill positions and QB Kevin Prince should be much improved after an and down freshman campaign (2,050, 56.2, 8-8).This will be an above-average NCAA offense but could be real good towards the end of the season.

College Football Predictions Defense: The defense will return only five starters and could struggle to stop the run this season. The D-line lost an impact player in DT Brian Price along with two other starters on the line who will be sorely missed. The back seven is in decent shape with a very-good secondary and a ball-hawking LB in Akeem Ayers. The pass-defense will be good but the thin D-line could leave the Bruins exposed against good running teams. This team is loaded with speed in the back seven and is still an above-average NCAA defense.

Coaching/Special Teams: The coaching staff took a hit with the departure of D-coordinator DeWayne Walker but is still solid. Special teams is the Bruins biggest team strength with the best pair of legs in the country and excellence on coverage and returns.
