Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2009 NFL Predictions, Win Total & 2010 Super Bowl Odds: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have the same uniforms but the actual product on the field will be far different than last season’s version. Gone is Head Coach Jon Gruden,  defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, QB Jeff Garcia, and Tampa Bay stalwarts Derrick Brooks and Ike Hilliard. There is a youth movement in Tampa from top-to-bottom, starting with 32-year old head coach Raheem Morris. Morris was the former secondary coach for he Bucs for 6 years and will be counted on to run the show for a group of green players. Will all this change equal success in Tampa? The NFL predictions odds for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win the 2010 Super Bowl is listed at 40-1 odds at Sportsbook.com.

For the first time in years, Tampa Bay could be fielding a stronger offense than defense. The offense is built around a quality offensive line that consistently blows defenders off the ball. The Buccaneers plan to build around that offensive line while they develop their 1st round QB of the future in Josh Freeman. Freeman is raw and unlikely to start at first, but he could see the field sooner than later with his skill set. Keeping the QB seat warm will either be Byron Leftwich or Luke McCown. Neither are “world-beaters” but both are capable of  handling an NFL offense. Whoever is tossing the pigskin will have a couple of inviting targets in new TE Kellen Winslow or WR Antonio Bryant. Bryant emerged last season as a bonafide #1 wideout and Winslow has All-Pro ability. The offense will do most of it’s damage on the ground however with power-back Earnest Graham. Graham will be joined by new all-purpose back Derrick Ward and former standout Cadillac Williams. The NFL predictions odds for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win the AFC championship is at 20-1 odds.

The Bucs defense will abandon the Cover-2 that has served them well for so long in favor of a more aggressive blitzing defense. The defense ranked a solid 10th in points allowed but will have 5 new starters in place for 2009. The entire defense is still fast and smart overall, despite being undersized in the front seven. DE Gaines Adams is an impact player that could have a huge season in 09’. The secondary is the strongest unit of the defense with two very-good CB’s in Ronde Barber and Aquib Talib. The Bucs have excellent special teams all-around.

With new schemes on both sides of the ball and less than stellar options at QB, Tampa Bay will struggle to avoid the NFC South basement. Leadership is also a question mark, as the team has many questionable characters now roaming he lockeroom. The NFC South is almost on par with the NFC East and Tampa Bay will win no more than 5 games. The  NFL predictions odds on the season Win Total for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is at 6.5 Wins.
