UFC 116 Results: Last night at UFC 116 Brock Lesnar showed what true champions are made of by overcoming two slit eyelids and a 1st round beatdown to submit Shane Carwin in the 2nd round. Lesnar, 5-1, rebounded from an intestinal illness that caused him to lose 43 Lbs. to beat the dangerous striking Carwin, 12-1, to regain the UFC heavyweight title. Carwin beat Lesnar at his own game early in the 1st frame by grounding and pounding Brock with two-fisted assaults that had the bully covering up and just trying to survive.

UFC 116 Results Analysis: Their were several tense moment for Brock in the 1st frame when it looked like the fight might be stopped as Carwin rained punches down non-stop. Lesnar looked lost in the unfamiliar position on his back but incredibly made it out of the round. That first round barrage left Carwin gassed out heading into the 2nd round and it cost him the fight. Lesnar quickly gobbled up the tiring Carwin in the 2nd frame with a quick takedown followed up by a full mount.
