With a few hours left before the 2009 Belmont Stakes odds go off the board, the expert horse racing handicappers at Online Sports Handicapping have broken down the Belmont Exacta betting odds for contenders Luv Gov and Charitable Man BetUS Sportsbook lists the Luv Gov and Charitable Man Belmont Exacta Odds at +1300.

Coming from the fifth post is Luv Gov, the long shot of this year's Belmont Stakes Odds. The Sportsbook.com oddsmakers list Luv Gov at +3000. Luv Gov is trained by D. Wayne Lukas and Miguel Mena is the jockey. Despite being the long shot, he does have some pros. His Sire finished second in 2003 Belmont behind Empire Maker. Luv Gov is reunited with Mena who was aboard for the colts' only win and Lukas has won four of these with Tabasco Cat in 1994, Thunder Gulch in 1995, Editor's Note in 1996 and Commendable in 2000.

The cons are that he is eligible for entry level allowance contest. He didn't make any impact in the Preakness when finishing eighth and Luv Gov has yet to earn a triple digit Beyer figure. 

BetUS Sportsbook lists the Luv Gov and Charitable Man Belmont Exacta Odds at +1300. 

The Charitable Man Belmont Odds have him coming in second place, just ahead of Dunkirk. Online gambling giant, Sportsbook.com has Charitable Man at +350 odds to win the 141st Belmont Stakes. His trainer is Kiaran McLaughlin and Alan Garcia is the jockey. The pros for Charitable Man are that he is 3 for 3 over conventional dirt; won two of those at Belmont, including Peter Pan last out. He is making his third start off a layoff. Charitable Man's Sire Lemon Drop Kid won the 1999 Belmont; he's bred to handle the added distance. McLaughlin won this in 2006 with Jazil and Garcia won last years' Belmont aboard Da' Tara.

The cons for Charitable Man are that he sat perfect trip behind runaway speed in Peter Pan yet still was under whip urging. He has raced just once around two turns, his only loss; last horse to win this with just one prior race around two turns was Colonial Affair in 1993; lacks foundation. And Charitable Man has yet to earn a triple digit Beyer figure.
