Western Conference Final Preview

The Detroit Red Wings will try and take a 2-0 lead on Tuesday as they host the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The two teams played a tight game on Sunday until Detroit scored three late goals to win 5-2. Dan Cleary had two goals to lead the Red Wings. His second came just over a minute after Mikael Samuelsson had given the Red Wings a 3-2 lead mid-way through the third period. Chicago was not able to get their young stars much room on Sunday as Patrick Kane was held without a shot while Jonathan Toews had but three. "We got a lesson," Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville said. "We've got to be better." Kane really didn’t have much room to do anything on Sunday. "They kind of collapsed on me," Kane said. "So, I was trying to find the open guys a little more. I definitely have to try to find a way to get some shots." Chicago was able to come from behind in their last series against Vancouver but doing it against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Red Wings is another story. "It's a race to four wins, but it's good to get the first one," Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom said.
