2010 College Football Odds: The Alabama Crimson Tide are the defending national champions and are being listed as the “chalk” to repeat this season at +400 to win the BCS Championship. As crazy as it sounds the Crimson Tide could be better on both sides of the ball despite returning only two starters on defense. Alabama’s offense is good but not great however and if their defensive prospects don’t live up to their billing Alabama could drop a few games. The other two favorites listed in single digits on the NCAA Football Betting board are Ohio State at +400 and Boise State at +900.
 

2010 College Football Odds Analysis: Ohio State is hoping that this is the year that star Junior QB Terrelle Pryor turns the corner. Ohio State has major question marks in the secondary though and Pryor is still not a proven passer. Boise State is finally in a favorable position to land a BCS berth if they can go undefeated which will require wins over Virginia Tech and Oregon State. Boise State has an outstanding passing game led by QB Kellen Moore but our College Football Picks crew does questions whether their defense is strong enough to win a national championship.

With all of the favorites sporting flaws we uncovered a few college football betting longshots that could pay huge dividends. Wisconsin at +3500 has excellent value with a smash-mouth style of football that will be tough to beat. North Carolina has possibly the most NFL caliber talent of all the BCS championship contenders and could surprise if their offense can help their stifling defense.
