New Orleans Saints Sign 2nd Round Pick LT Charles Brown: The New Orleans Saints inked 2nd round draft pick LT Charles Brown to a 4-year deal. The amount of the contract was undisclosed but what is certain is that the USC product will push starting LT Jermon Bushrod who is returning from injury. Brown started all 48 games at USC and on paper appears to be an ideal fit for the Saints pass-heavy system.
 

NFL Predictions Analysis: The 6’5” 290 Lb. Brown is tall, long limbed and athletic. Brown is a competitive player that has the all important O-line attribute of quick feet. Brown does not have the ideal bulk that you look for in a tackle but he plays with good balance and has leverage. Brown’s technique is still improving so he could take some time to develop but eventually he should become a solid NFL starter.
