Northwestern 2010 College Football Predictions - 2011 BCS Odds: The Northwestern Wildcats are in search of their first bowl win since 1949 and this could be the season that they get it. The Wildcats lost three players to the NFL but will have a modest schedule and a strong system to lean on to reach a third consecutive bowl game. College Football Predictions Offense: Northwestern’s signature spread offense will plug in a new face under center with junior Dan Persa. Persa is accurate and smart but he might be less effective than his predecessor. The receiving corps is deep and boasts an impact player in 6'3" 235 Lb. Drake Dunsmore. The rushing attack was poor last season but should be improved running behind an experienced O-line.

College Football Predictions Defense: Northwestern’s defense is solid on all three levels with a front seven that has plenty of speed. The undersized front could have some difficulty against the run however. The secondary is so-so and could feel the loss of three starters. Coaching/Special Teams: The coaching staff at Northwestern could be the team’s biggest asset with some of the best brains in the Big-10. Special teams were awful last year but should be much better with more experience and a good PK in Stefan Demos.
