2010 Baseball Predictions - Florida Marlins NL East: The always thrifty Florida Marlins will again have to make due for the 2010 MLB season after losing some good players. After some brief rumors that the Marlins would get rid of head coach Fredi Gonzalez they wisely decided to keep one of the best coaches of 2009. The Marlins are perennial overachievers and last year’s 87 wins were third most in franchise history. Can Florida make a lot out of a little again? Below is an in-depth look at the 2010 Florida Marlins from our MLB Picks team of experts.
The 2010 Baseball Predictions - Florida Marlins NL East MLB Betting Odds to win the 2010 World Series is at +2700 at SBGGLOBAL.COM.
MLB Picks Analysis: Offense - The Marlins lineup is multi faceted and productive. Florida has one of the best lineups in the N.L with excellent power, patience and speed. Hanley Ramirez is an absolute stud, Dan Uggla has pure power and rookie of the year Chris Coghlan has a great stick.
Pitching - Florida has a top-notch starter in Josh Johnson but the staff as a whole is shaky. The bullpen looks solid with some non descript names leading the charge but the rotation is thin. The rotation has the potential to be better but it is yet to be seen if that talent will deliver.
Coaching/ Bench - The Marlins have good chemistry and the bench has a great weapon off the pine in Emilio Bonifacio. One move Florida could regret however is cutting ties with an excellent pitching coach in Mark Wiley.
