2010 World Cup Odds

2010 world cup odds

The whole world is preparing for the single biggest sporting event of 2010 as the World Cup kicks off in South Africa. Three years ago Italy won the World Cup and I had picked them in my pool.  This year my early pick to win the World Cup is Brazil. Current soccer odds have Brazil at 9/2 to win the World Cup right behind Spain who is at 4/1.

Former Golden Ball and FIFA World player winners Kaka and Ronaldinho have what might be their final chance to win the World Cup.  Kaka is Brazil Coach Dunga’s favorite player, he will provide the midfielder the space so he can shine and with talent surrounding him.

Sports betting fans should expect also AC Milan’s young striker Alexandre Pato to have a big tournament. Pato is not one of the Dunga’s top strikers.  He is having a big year with Calcio and should have an opportunity to prove himself in the soccer biggest stage.

A lot of people are leaning towards European champion Spain or current or powerhouse England going all the way, however I’m betting on Brazil because European squads have a hard time winning off of their continent.   The last 2 World Cups are perfect examples. World Cup 2006 was won by Italy in Germany, in 2002 Brazil won in Japan/Korea.

World Cup 2010 kicks off June 11th 2010.
