2010 College Football Rankings Week 1: The Alabama Crimson Tide open up both the Coaches Polls, and the AP Polls ranked as the number one team in the country. They'll begin their title defense with a match up against San Jose State. Should be a walk in the park, followed by a week 2 matchup against the #19 Penn State Nittany Lions. Ohio State comes in right behind Alabama at # 2 in both polls. Hammerhead Sports always delivers the most accurate free sports picks and free football odds from our team of NCAA predictions experts. Find our winning NCAA Odds Selections Below.

The top 5 is rounded out by Florida, Boise State, and Texas. Boise State is the only one of those three schools that brings back their starting quarterback from last season. TCU starts the Season in the top ten for the first time in school history. Virginia Tech sits at #10 in the AP Polls but is listed as #6 in the USA Today Polls. Lane Kiffin and USC start the season at #14 in the AP Polls but are unranked by the USA Today Polls due to NCAA violations and probation. Bodog Sportsbook has the Alabama Crimson Tide (+400) as the Odds on favorite to win it all.

TCU(#6) plays Oregon State(#24) in week 1 and a Horned Frog victory will in all likeliness knock the Beavers out of the top 25 heading into week 2. Les Miles leads LSU(#21) into Raleigh to play the  North Carolina Tar Heels(#18). If the Tigers don't look out, they might be on their way out of the top 25 early as well. Now, the game that will have an immediate impact is when Boise State(#3) takes on Virginia Tech(#10) on Labor Day (Monday 8:00pm ET, on ESPN). Bodog.com has the Boise State Broncos (-2.5) as the Free NCAA Picks selection over the Virginia Tech Hokies (+2.5).
