2010 NFL Preseason Week 3 Betting Lines: The Washington Redskins (1-1) travel to the New Meadowlands Stadium to take on the ferocious New York Jets (1-1). Donovan McNabb was roughed up by the Ravens last week and has a sore left ankle. He expects to play against the Jets this week. That might not be his call though. The Jets opened up Eli Manning's face in week 1 and held the Panthers to a field goal as they flexed their defensive muscles last week. Maybe it would help the Redskins' NFL Betting Odds for the rest of the season if McNabb sits this one out. The Washington Redskins impressed everyone during their week 1 blowout of the Buffalo Bills. Last week however, was a different story, when they failed to generate any rhythm on offense against the Ravens. The Redskins' soft secondary was exposed by Joe Flacco and Marc Bulger last week and if they don't work it out, it could be a long day against the Jets this week. Sportsbook.com has the New York Jets (-4.5) as the Free NFL Picks selection over Washington Redskins (+4.5).

The New York Jets seem to be prepared to go on without Darrelle Revis, and Rex Ryan has convinced his team that they can win without him. The Jets defense showed their strength last week, holding the Panthers passing attack to a 15-39 completion percentage and did not allow Carolina to surpass the Century mark through the air. Mark Sanchez also struggled however, and he will need to get it going if the Jets plan on taking care of business. With this Jets' defense flying around, and McNabb on a bad ankle, look for this to be a low scoring affair. With the NFL Betting Odds at 35, the Under is the safe play here.
