College Football Picks - BYU vs. Oklahoma: Two of the nation's best quarterbacks will meet head to head on Saturday as BYU senior Max Hall leads the No. 20 BYU Cougars in a game against the reigning Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford and the No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners. Kickoff is set for 7 pm ET and will be televised nationally on ESPN-HD.
BYU was 10-3 last season, including a 6-2 mark and third-place finish in the Mountain West Conference. The 2006 and 2007 teams both finished with 11-2 marks, 8-0 first-place finishes in the MWC and Las Vegas Bowl victories.
The Sooners went 12-1 during the regular season including winning the Big 12 Championship game and earning a spot in the BCS title game where they lost to Florida.
Bradford is the better known quarterback of the two due to his winning the Heisman in 2008 and he plays at Oklahoma, a higher profile program. However, Hall is an All-Mountain West honoree who passed for league-highs of 3,957 yards and 35 touchdowns last fall, leading the conference in both categories for the second straight season. His passing and total yardage (4,072) numbers ranked among the top 10 nationally while setting MWC records for a junior signal-caller.
Oklahoma is 14-5 against teams from the Mountain West Conference. The most recent of those games took place last season when the Sooners topped TCU in Norman, 35-10.
