Oregon vs Boise State - College Football Picks: Thursday night (10:30 pm ET) the Oregon Ducks and Boise State Broncos will play the first 'Big Game' of the 2009 college football season at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho. So why is this game billed as having such major BCS implications? The potential impact on the BCS has more to do with the Broncos than Ducks. Boise State must win this game if it expects to be a player in the 2010 BCS race. Even if Oregon lost to the Broncos, they have the potential to run the table in the PAC 10 and be in the BCS mix at the end of the season.

The betting line at Sportsbetting.com opened with Boise State as a 6-chalk favorite but as of Tuesday had dropped with the Broncos favored by -4 with a 64 total.

Betting trends show the public is getting behind the Ducks in a big way. Betting numbers show that 89 percent of moneyline and 76 percent of bets against the spread (ATS) are on Oregon. In totals betting, 97 percent of gamblers have wagered on the  OVER 64.

Here at OnlineSportsHandicapping.com, resident college football handicapper Reno Gold predicts the public is on the right side in this game.

"Oregon, having quarterback issues in 2008 was ambushed by the Broncos at Autzen Stadium," said Gold. "Oregon is one of the best programs in the PAC 10, and recruits as a top BCS program. If you look at Boise State's record against quality BCS programs you see it's not all that great."

College Football Pick: Take the Ducks and the points (+4). We also like the UNDER (64) bet on the total.
