The Yankees got the best of the Mets last time around Jun 12-14, by taking two of the three games. The Mets will for sure be looking to even things up at their new park in front of their own fans.
 
Oddsmakers at BetUS.com have installed the Yankees as 170-moneyline favorites for the three game set.

Getting the call for the Yankees in Friday's game-one is former Cy Young Award winner C.C. Sabathia. The big Yankees lefthander owns a record of 6-4 this season with a 3.71 ERA. Countering for the home team Mets is right hander starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey. Pelfrey is 5-2 with a 4.74 ERA.

BetUS.com is listing the Yankees as -170 moneyline favorites for Friday's Game-1 with an 8 1/2 total. Mets backers are getting +150 moneyline odds as the home underdog.

Because the Yankees had to push A.J. Burnett back a day to accommodate his suspension, Sabathia is scheduled to pitch in Burnetts original Friday slot on regular rest. Assuming he makes it, it will mark his first Subway Series start against the Mets, a team he has faced and beaten only once in his career.

Pelfrey had an outing similar to his last one in everything but the end result in a 10-6 loss to the Rays on Sunday. Pelfrey again cruised through the early innings before hitting trouble later. Pelfrey allowed five straight hits to start the fifth inning, four of whom scored. Pelfrey finished the day allowing eight hits and those four runs, striking out four in five innings. It's almost exactly the same line he posted in his only career start against the Yankees, when he gave up four runs and eight hits in five innings during a 15-6 Mets win last June 27.

The Yankees got out to a seven run lead en route to an 11-7 victory over the Braves on Thursday, as +100 underdogs. The game's 18 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Johnny Damon led the way with four RBIs for the Yankees. Alfredo Aceves tossed just over two innings of relief to earn the win.

The Mets defeated St. Louis 3-2 as a +100 underdog on Thursday. The five runs scored fell UNDER the posted over/under total (6.5). Johan Santana allowed one earned run on seven hits over seven innings for the Mets and Nick Evans drove in a pair of runs in the win.
