Week 15 NFL Predictions on the Arizona Cardinals vs Carolina Panthers Odds: The lowly (1-12) Carolina Panthers [-3] will host the NFL Betting Lines underdog (4-9) Arizona Cardinals [+3] on Sunday starting at 1 PM ET live from Bank of America Stadium.
The Cardinals have decided that they would like to see their rookie quarterback back on the field this Sunday, in place of Derek Anderso. John Skelton started off shaky last week against the Denver Broncos, after not being able to connect on his first seven passes. But the rookie from Fordham must have done something right if the Cardinals want him to start this week.
Skelton did not have an interception and did not get sacked, as he finished 15 of 30 for 146 yards, in the 43-13 win. Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt was pleased with Skelton’s performance and felt as though he was the right choice for this week.
“I think what I really liked was his demeanor and how he handled himself,” Whisenhunt said. “He was able to handle (the pressure) and make some throws. There’s potential there to grow into that position and that’s the exciting part of it.”
As for the Panthers, they will not have a change in their quarterback this week. They will be sticking with Jimmy Clausen, despite being one loss away of losing eight consecutive games for the first time since 2002.
Clausen was not much help last week against the Atlanta Falcons, ending the game with 14 of 24 for 107 yards. The Carolina rookie quarterback is yet to hit 200 yards, and is still looking for his first touchdown in six straight games.
But the Panthers could look at the bright side as they come into this match-up. Carolina has won six straight regular season games against the Cardinals, but will they be able to overcome their on-the-road drought?
