Last year, the Alabama Crimson Tide proved to be one of the best of all time, winning back-to-back BCS National Titles and three in the last four seasons. We will now take a look at Bama’s chances to three-peat in the future odds and we’ll issue our 2014 BCS National Championship predictions.

The good news for the Tide is that they’re sure to not have that much completion this year in college football. The way thing look at the present time, there are only two possible teams that could threaten Alabama’s three-peat hopes.

College football betting odds specialist agree, as the Alabama Crimson Tide will go into the 2013-14 season as the clear betting favorites. According to Bovada Sportsbook, Alabama is listed as a 3/1 (+300) favorite to capture its third straight National title.

Last season, the Tide were without question the best tea, on the nation right from the get go. Alabama finished off the regular season with a 13-1 record and would go on to defeat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, 32-28.

They followed that effort by making the Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s defense look like a high school squad. San and Co. put up 42 against Brian Kelly’s top-ranked defense on their way to a 23-point rout and second consecutive National Championship.

By the way things look, the only two teams that could potentially give Bama any kind of problems are the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Oregon Ducks. Now, in the case of the ladder, the Ducks simply do not have the defense necessary to even be considered in the same class as Alabama.

Therefore, I would have to say that if you have Nick Saban and Alabama, you’re best hopes of them being upset rests on Ohio State. In either case, I think that from a betting perspective, Alabama being listed as a +300 favorite is not only a heck of a bet, but also a very profitable one.

Like I stated before, there aren’t too many teams that pose a real threat to Bama this year. Thus, you would be hard-pressed to find a better 2014 BCS National Championship predictions winner for those futures odds, and you would be a fool to not bet on the Crimson Tide at +300 bucks!
