Super Bowl XLVIII is among us, and with so much talk regarding Mother Nature and potential date changes, kick off time and betting lines have remained the same throughout.
Record-number crowds are expected at 1 MetLife Stadium Dr, in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday evening to see the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks do battle. On paper, this should be one of the best, moist entertaining Super Bowls in recent memory.
Who will be hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy Sunday night in the Meadowlands? Will it be Peyton Manning and Denver’s high-powered offense, or will the Seattle Seahawks defense impose its will on this game and come away with the free Super Bowl picks upset?
We are mere hours away from the biggest sporting spectacle in the world, and thanks to OSH, NFL bettors have a front-row ticket to all the ATS and money line action. As we’ve been previewing for the past two weeks, NFL oddsmakers made up their minds in the early going and aren’t budging.
According to Saturday’s Super Bowl odds at Bovada Sportsbook, the Denver Broncos remain favorites by a kick over the Seattle Seahawks, which hasn’t changed since opening lines were announced two weeks ago.
Straight-up betting lines have also remained rather quiet since then, with the Broncos valued at -135 and the Seahawks at +115. There’s one bit of news to report as it pertains to the odds, with the Over-Under lines going from 47.5 points to an even 48 points this morning.
This slight change could be a direct correlation of both teams reporting rather clean Super Bowl 2014 injury reports Friday night. The biggest question marks were the Seahawks (WR) Percy Harvin and the Broncos (RB) Knowshon Moreno, but both have been cleared, participated in team practices and are listed as “probable” for Sunday.
With that said, the official kick off time for Super Bowl XLVIII is 6:25 p.m. Eastern Time and it will be broadcasting live (nationwide) on big Fox. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will handle things from the booth, while sideline-reporting duties have been assigned to Pam Oliver and Erin Andrews.
It’s certainly also worth noting that Super Bowl MVP odds and prop bets are available for everyone to enjoy and challenge their picking/predicting skills.
