Editorial Guidelines

These are the basic Article Submission Requirements for OSH:
1.) a.) From the Homepage Click Create Content under “Your last 25 content items”
      b.) Click News

2.) Add Title

3.) Choose Article Path and all categories affiliated holding control key.

4.) Upload Images - ALL IMAGES MUST BE 300 PIXELS WIDE (300x250 is ok but 300x300 looks much better)
      a.) Save/name images in lower case with dashes (example: brett-favre-vikings)
      b.) Enter image meta – same for both Alternate Text: and Title: (always lower case including proper nouns example: brett favre vikings)

5.) Enter Body Click ‘Past form Word’ button (top row, sixth button)

6.) Enter Sportsbook Text Links (make bold, minumum two text links per article)

7.) Enter Meta Tags (***See Below)

8.) Scheduling Options – Publish on: Copy format date and edit to the desired publishing time (example: 2009-09-05 16:20:00will publish 4:20 PM EST)

9.) Click Submit

*** META TAGS ***  Entering the Meta Tags is one of the most important parts of adding an article! Contact Bones with any questions or suggestions. There are no stupid questions.

DC.Title: Enter name of article plus other picks, predictions and odds keywords associated with the copy.

Example 1: NFL Predictions: Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings NFL Preseason Picks Week 4 – This article title is fine to use in the DC.Title

Example 2: College Football Picks: Minnesota vs Syracuse – This article title is not fine to use in the DC.Title – Correct DC.Title: College Football Picks: Minnesota vs Syracuse NCAA Football Predictions (notice how the meta keyword ‘NCAA Football Predictions’ was added at the end of the title for a second meta keyword)

Description: a.) Use the same meta keywords used in the title
b.) Use correct grammer (do not capitalize meta keywords)

Example 1: The NFL predictions Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings preseason picks week 4 NFL betting odds have the Vikings as a -3 favorites at Sportsbook.com.

Example 2: The college football picks Minnesota vs Syracuse at Sportsbetting.com has installed Minnesota as a 7-chalk road NCAA football predictions favorite versus Syracuse with a 47 total.

Keywords: a.) Use the same meta keywords used in the title and description plus any other meta keywords related to the sport (top three meta keywords are picks, predictions and odds). Include team names and player names
                   b.) Separate keywords using a comma
                   c.) All words lower case including proper nouns
                   d.) Minumum 6 keywords, maximum 10 keywords

Example 1: nfl predictions, dallas cowboys, minnesota vikings, nfl preseason picks, week 4 nfl preseason, nfl betting odds, tarvaris jackson, football picks, football odds

Example 2: syracuse orangemen, minnesota golden gophers, college football picks, ncaa football predicitons, doug marrone, greg paulus, college football odds, bcs picks
